Everyone had a great day visiting the Moelfre Lifeboat Station. In the classroom we have been studying beach safety and have realized the special work the RNLI does. We also saw the Royal Charter monument, the ship sunk near Moelfre on 26th October, 1859. Thank you to Steven Owen for his interesting talk. To finish the day everyone had an ice cream and enjoyed the view.

Everyone has been busy working on a Design and Technology task recently. Our brief was to design a boat that would float on the surface of the water with an anchor that would sink to the bottom. There were lots of great ideas for making all sorts of boats, everyone was busy creating their boat out of recycling materials before going on to find out if they were floating successfully. Thank you to Miss Ffion Roberts for leading the work.

We went to Hendy farm near Caernarfon to learn about milking cattle. It was very interesting to see the developments since milking by hand in the past to the modern dairy parlour full of modern technology that was on the farm today. Everyone enjoyed the experience of milking by hand, seeing the reality of milking cattle today and getting to meet all the newly born calves. Thank you to Mr Aled Jones for sharing so much information about his farm with us.

Cwmni'r Fran Wen came to perform Twrw Dan a Dicw. The performance was about two very different children who came together and learned from each other. Everyone enjoyed the performance and it made us think about how to show respect for people from different backgrounds, our fears and lack of confidence, the need to listen to others and convey our personal feelings as well as celebrate friendships.
